Love

As softly falls the loveliness
The dreams all stirred in one
It sneaks up with a tenderness
The warmth outlasts the sun

It’s amazing now the sights we see
With the change the lenses cause
Our minds are opened but hardly free
The world is placed on pause

As softly falls the loveliness
As soft as falling snow
The love of life—an eagerness
The love of one—a glow

The lenses lead us down the path
Whatever path we would
Blinders from the hate and wrath
Portals to the good

As softly falls the loveliness
The glasses shade the wrong
Our hearts are filled with happiness
Our souls are filled with song

Vision is a perfect thing
When we’ve got our glasses on
The lens we wear determines things
It sparks a new day’s dawn

As softly falls the loveliness
As soft as fading light
Our world is filled with holiness
And peace invades our night
