Orion

The imitation lights of the world
Sometimes filter out
The natural glow of the heavens
Creating a haze
Of neon and fluorine
That blinds the human eye
But, just a few steps back from the glare
Allows your pupils to adjust
And the universe to open
There in the darkness
Everything is clear

Itís here that you find him
Standing boldly for all to see
Illuminating and enlightening
The big brother to the world
Watching over the universe
With bow drawn back
Ready to battle any universal enemy

Heís there
Up where the sky is clearer
Above the fog of disappointment
And the smog of competition
Above the lights of the world
And beyond the glare
I guess some things are easier to see in the dark
