Rollercoaster

Rising up
The first bump
On the biggest ride of your life
Ascending
Not comprehending
The heartache and the strife
Just waiting
Anticipating
The good times and the highs
Not fearing
The peak is nearing
And itís there before your eyes
The rollercoaster

Falling
Your stomach calling
As you plummet toward the ground
Descending
Afraid of bending
How quick it turns around
Wheels screeching
Your heart is reaching
As you make a turn and then
Ascending
Not comprehending
But youíre going up again
The rollercoaster

Enduring
The oft-occurring
Flat times and the spills
Not ceasing
The speedís increasing
As you conquer higher hills
Comprehending
The ride is ending
Looking back on tears youíve cried
But the flying
Out-weighed the crying
And youíre glad you rode the ride
The rollercoaster

The roller
Rollercoaster
Bringing smiles and bringing tears
The roller
Rollercoaster
Both creates and conquers fears
When you timber
Just remember
What it felt like up above
Once you ride it
You canít fight it
In the end youíll always love
The rollercoaster
