Contentment

In prior works
I've written a lot about contentment
And the joy that comes with it
Well, at the risk of contradicting myself
Sometimes the happiest moments in my life
Take place in the absence of contentment
When I'm longing, yearning and striving
For more of something
More happiness?
Possibly
Though at the time I may be completely happy
I still want more
And though I want more
At the time, I'm completely happy
I'm just not content
It's true that some of the
Most depressing times in my life
Also take place in the absence of contentment
When I'm longing, yearning and striving for more
Of not something
But anything
And it's true that this may all change tomorrow
Who knows?
Maybe tomorrow
I'll be happily wanting more
Maybe
I'll be struggling to survive with what I have
Maybe tomorrow
I'll just be content
