Answers to Everyday Questions

The ominous finger
Of the solid white line
Seductively urges him on
Away from his troubles
Away from himself
Away from the next morning's dawn

And where is he going?
He really can't say
But everything's beautiful there
The sun always shines
Responsibility's lost
He knows that he's going
But where

Living for tomorrow
And dying today
Hoping it will all go his way
Someday

The bright colored billboards
Are his only friends now
He reads them and chuckles with pain
He's made his decision
The tears fill his eyes
He's running away from the game

Down the road is the answer
He doesn't know where
But he's sure he'll be much better off
Can't she see he was hurting?
Can't she see this is best?
Can't she see that it just got
Too tough?

Living for tomorrow
And dying today
Hoping it will all go his way
Someday

Hoping it will all go away
Someday
